PROJECT : HOSPITALITY
To take advantage of demand and supply mismatch in star hotel facility in the twin cities, PESLdecided to make its mark in this business, and indeed has come long way.
PESL ventured into hospitality business by opening up Celebrity club at Shamirpet. It
opened up a 30 room boutique hotel at city centre, Hyderabad with ultramodern gym,
banquet hall, restaurant and bar. The company has also launched its 4 star hotel Celebrity Holiday Retreat at Shamirpet in July 2005.
It will build a 5 star hotel at the same venue. It has also bid for building a 3 star hotel in
Durgamcheru, another strategic location, on BOT basis. The company has also finalized the plan for development of PGA standard golfcourse in Shamirpet. The Golf-course will be the first of its kind in Hyderabad. Adjacent to it, the company will build premium villas facing the proposed golf course.

PESL’s foray into hospitality projects are due to multifarious reasons that have been researched by the team:
Number of star rooms in the in Hyderabad are 2500 whereas The requirement for the star category rooms is estimated at 4500
90% of the current guests are business travellers
Going forward, the number of business tarvellers are set to increase
Hyderabad has become a favored MICE ( Meeting, Incentive, convention and Exhibition) Destination
Nearly all 5 star hotels in the city hold waiting list
Hyderabad is also establishing itself as medical and tourism centre in the country
As the city is developing at a fast pace, in the last few years, there is a tremendous
increase in construction activities, both in industrial as well as residential segments. The
city is witnessing a phenomenal increase in the number of recreation alternatives like
malls, pubs, restaurants and hotels. The rate at which the traditional city’s
cosmopolitan cultural trends and preferences are moving, the development and
construction activities are going to continue at a brisk pace in the near future.
While a major metro like Mumbai suffers from inadequate infrastructure, and
bottlenecks in the form of clearance procedures and outdated laws, Hyderabad with its
new Floor Space Index Policy, speedy project clearances and absence of restrictive
regulations for developing real estate has proved a very attractive alternative. These
market-friendly measures coupled with excellent infrastructure in terms of wide roads,
good traffic management system, cleanliness and a cosmopolitan culture makes the city
a strong contender for major property development ventures.
Today, we stay educated on the latest trends in the industry and marketplace, and our teams employ the latest in technology and methodology to ensure that we help businesses meet the challenges of the 21st century, while continuing to maintain the simple basics of quality product and service, customer loyalty, and relationship building.

Travel and Tourism is another major reason for PESL’s foray into hospitality. Hyderabad spells magic for its perfect blend of tradition and modernity, while retaining its old
culture and hospitality. It is driving itself to conquer new frontiers particularly in the realm of information technology as well as tourism, more so after the Government has taken keen interest on promoting Hyderabad as an international tourist destination.
